Frequently Asked Questions
-
Apitherapy is a holistic healing practice that uses products from the honeybee—such as bee venom, honey, propolis, pollen, and royal jelly—to support the body’s natural healing processes. These medicines have been used for thousands of years across cultures including ancient Egypt, China, and Greece, and are now being revisited through modern scientific research.
-
Bee Venom Therapy is a form of apitherapy that involves the application of live bee stings to specific points on the body, similar to acupuncture. Bee venom contains active compounds that may support immune function, reduce inflammation, and stimulate the body’s healing response.
-
Bee venom contains bioactive compounds such as melittin and peptides that interact with the body’s systems. These compounds may help modulate inflammation, support circulation, and activate healing pathways. Many practitioners also relate its application to traditional meridian systems, similar to acupuncture.
-
Safety is a top priority. Before beginning treatment, all clients are screened for bee venom allergies. Individuals with known severe allergies to bee stings (anaphylaxis) cannot receive this therapy. Sessions are conducted with care, proper protocols, and observation.
If you are unsure about your sensitivity, testing and consultation are required before proceeding.
-
You may feel a brief sting at the moment of application, followed by warmth or sensation at the site. Many clients report that the discomfort is short-lived and becomes more manageable over time.
